Our support is packed full of our expertise, provider focussed, and highly engaging.
Our Specialisms
The focus on sustainable childcare is everywhere. But what does it mean, and how do providers get the skills they need?
-

Building Sustainable Settings
We believe sustainable delivery is based on five inter-connected foundational pillars:
The overall setting: Create a childcare offer children, parents and team believe in
Children: Provide the best possible experience for every single child
Parents: Make marketing and communications shine
Team: Lead with confidence, manage with professionalism and reduce recruitment and retention concerns
Owner/Manager: Make the right financial decisions for you, your team, parents and the children
Getting each of these pillars right gives providers the best chance of ongoing financial and operational sustainability.
We help providers to see the whole picture, not just the individual piece.
-

The Overall Setting: An offer children, parents and team believe in
Everything starts here. A setting with a clear mission, vision and values gives children, parents and staff something to believe in, and gives providers the foundation to make consistent decisions as they grow.
Our Mission, Vision & Values session (part of the Leadership 4 Success series) helps leaders define who they are as an organisation, what they stand for, and how their values guide decision-making, team culture, recruitment and marketing.
We help providers understand who their stakeholders are and use that clarity to guide everything else.
-

Children: Provide the best possible experience for every single child
If the experience for children isn't genuinely good, nothing else matters. Our Foundation of Play series covers play theory and practice, quality in play, inclusive practice, and positive behaviour management, helping providers understand what makes play outstanding and build a clear plan to develop their setting.
Our SEND training builds the confidence and practical skills to support every child, covering autism awareness, supporting children with SEND, understanding and responding to challenging behaviour, supporting children with physical disabilities, and SEND-specific safeguarding.
Group Games and Challenges adds a practical, hands-on session of 30+ games providers can use immediately.
-

Parents: Make marketing and communications shine
Great provision counts for little if parents never hear about it. Our marketing training gives providers the tools to confidently promote their setting, whether school-run or PVI, using 20 years' experience of promoting clubs.
Sessions help providers establish their foundations, defining what makes their setting unique and building a consistent identity, then move into a practical strategy built around the 3 M's: Market (identifying key audiences), Message (crafting compelling communications), and Methods (selecting the right channels).
Providers leave with a clear implementation plan, not just ideas.
-

Team: Lead with confidence, manage with professionalism
None of this will happen without a strong, engaged team. Our leadership and management training draws on years managing a team of 150+, combined with leadership theory including transformational and situational leadership and emotional intelligence, to help leaders build motivated teams and a positive culture.
We also cover recruitment and retention: creating effective, values-led recruitment campaigns, writing job adverts that attract the right candidates, and practical strategies to keep teams engaged and committed when pay increases aren't an option.
-

Owner/Manager: Make the right financial decisions
Even the best setting can't thrive if the numbers don't work. Our Financial Success in Childcare session helps providers understand the figures that matter, profit and loss, cash flow, and occupancy, alongside fee-setting approaches, building financial reserves, and government initiatives that support affordability.
For providers ready to grow, our business growth training covers viable expansion strategies, financial models that support sustainable growth, and the Stakeholder Balance, building effective partnerships with schools and the wider community.

Monthly CPD Programme
For LAs wanting something more than a single session, our Monthly CPD Programme gives your providers one live online hour a month, all year round. It solves the problem every LA knows well: training happens, everyone enjoys it, then the day job takes over and momentum is lost.
Regular, consistent sessions mean learning is applied and built on over time, not just ticked off. £4,200 a year, or £350 per session, with flexible topics chosen to match what your providers actually need.
“The session helped me to understand and define my mission, vision and values... I feel more confident in putting these forward with confidence”
